Lovely place to stay, done really well with furnishing the place and sticking to the school theme. Very neat and tidy both inside and out. Truly a credit to the owners. Keep up the great work! – Josh Pearse
What an amazing place to stay. We had the most enjoyable weekend stay of 2 nights celebrating 100 years since our grandparents were married at the Quellington Hall. Quellington School House which is just down the road, is a very clean and enjoyable place to stay with friendly hosts, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone, can’t wait to go back. – Dianne Jurinovich
I have stayed at the Quellington Farm Stay many times with my family and the Gentle family never fail to disappoint with their hospitality and added extra they offer us. It was my husband’s birthday one stay and they surprised us with decorating the farm stay, leaving a bottle of wine and making a cake. Our children love the space to roam around and interact with animals and watch the daily workings of the farm. This is really a beautiful place to relax and get away from it all. – Terri Rozmus
What a fantastic weekend away. 5-star comfort. Warm, clean and cosy. Kids (and adults) loved the chalkboard, games and numerous outdoor activities. The farm animals were an added bonus! Will definitely be back. – Vanessa Tiniswood
Stayed at Quellington schoolhouse for 3 nights and just loved it. The service was country hospitality at its best and the newly fitted out schoolhouse was warm and cosy. Highly recommend this farm stay. – Carol Lymn
Amazing place, beautiful and clean, lovely quiet location but close enough to supplies if you need anything. Great for Astro-photography. Lovely hosts and family. Didn’t want to leave, but hope to come back soon. – Helen Turner
My family have been staying at Quellington Schoolhouse Farm Stay since 2015, we have been lucky enough to visit annually since then! We have seen many helpful changes and upgrades to the facilities over the years, all of which have made this comfortable, clean, well-equipped home, and its lovely grounds, even more pleasurable to stay at. There is so much for children to do, from playing with the assortment of toys and games and on the outdoor playground, to riding their bikes around the farm, feeding the emus and, if you are lucky, any lambs at the right time of year. It’s all delightfully presented and very relaxing for the adults, whether its sitting in the afternoon sun having a glass of wine and a BBQ or watching a DVD in front of a roaring fire in the evening. I’ve highly recommended Quellington to many of my friends and couldn’t love staying there more! – Katie Keady
This is our 10th year and we usually book for a week during school holidays, sometimes twice a year. Our stay has once again been amazing and so relaxing. The kids just love to explore and it is a privilege to freely roam around the farm. The farm stay is fully equipped and has modern amenities sprinkled with old world charm. The Gentle family are always so friendly and accommodating. Such a wonderful place to stay and unwind, and as always, we will be back again soon. – Melissa Whaley
We have been going to OUR farm stay for 8 years now, often around August/September. We keep coming back because after the first stay, we didn’t just fall in love with the location and amazing self-containment of the accommodation, we also fell in love with the whole Gentle family. Every year we go back (twice if we can get in), we have the most amazing stay. Starting at 9 months old, my son now refers to the school house as “my farm” and as soon as we arrive, he looks for the farm dog he grew up with, Murphy.
The Gentles make sure you have everything you need, down to the little things such as paper towel. Visits are always so relaxing that you cannot help but to feel a sense of calm as you wonder around and explore the property.
We have seen the farm grow in terms of a venue and love that the Gentle’s focus more on people having a great time above all. Allowing our boy to explore every inch, feeding lambs when in season, and having Mr Gentle show off his finest crops. Rory loves the farm life and has such a strong attachment.
It would be easy to keep going on about how amazing Quellington school house is. At risk of losing our “spot” for other families and explorers to find, people really must experience it for themselves. – Amanda Jones
